ABOUT RAPHAEL HOWEIN BIOGRAPHY Raphael Howein is a Berlin based Filmmaker and photographer. His clients include multiple theaters, actors, influencers, activists and brands. He also teaches filmmaking at SAE Institute Berlin. In his work as a filmmaker he focuses on video installations for theatre productions, as well as narrative driven films and commercials. He tries to find interesting, moving and often also humorous stories in his scriptwriting, while intending to capture performances that walk the line between staged and spontaneous when working as a director. He also operates the camera, if the project requires it. With everything he does he tries to visually tell stories. So as a photographer he focuses on stage and behind the scenes photography for films and theater productions, portraits, editorials and staged fine art photography
